Home Renovations (or re-purposing a building!)

I  saw this first project on one of the blogs I follow (Architekura+), described as a renovated church. I think I’d call it a re-purposing project at its best. A church renovation/conversion in a a totally amazing way. I know this might not appeal to everyone, but I just love the space and light in this building. I’m sure the photos don’t do it justice, but who wouldn’t love a bathroom like this one?

I’ve always loved the idea of converting a church into a home, but not quite like this! More along the lines of a country church that is contemporary but still retains the calm and peacefulness of the original building.

This one is a different project by the same architects. Who wouldn’t love a lounge room like this? Click on the image to go to the ZECC Architecture website for more images.

And yet another church conversion by ZECC. Aren’t the windows stunning? I’m not sure i could live in all that white, but it is a seriously beautiful building!

How about a factory conversion …

Or how about a water tower conversion?

These may not be your style, but I think they’re beautiful and give me lots of inspiration. What do you think?
